We invite you to explore the wide array of marketing opportunities presented
by New Hampshire’s premier film festival and Portsmouth’s
fastest growing community wide event. From corporate sponsorship to out
of the box in-kind donations we welcome your support, participation, and
enthusiasm. If you have an idea on how to align your brand with our event
then give us a call. We’re happy to explore new ideas to create
a custom package that perfectly suits your product or company identity.
The New Hampshire Film Expo, presented by The
Blue Canoe, is the only event of its kind in the state. It takes
place throughout downtown Portsmouth by weaving together the city’s
most alluring features and highlighting its leading arts and cultural
organizations into a three day celebration of art, film, education, culture,
and fun.
The Music Hall is the festival’s
main stage theater which also hosts the opening and closing night ceremonies
as well as high profile industry panels and discussions. Every year The
Sheraton graciously extends their hospitality to our special
industry guests as well as provide the ampitheater as our secondary screening
room. “Stoodley’s Tavern” at Strawbery Banke
is home to the three day Young Filmmakers Workshop where high school students
are hands on learning the art and science of filmmaking. These students
have the rare opportunity to see their films come to life on The Music
Hall screen during closing night ceremonies. This year, we are excited
to announce the addition of The Seacoast Repertory Theater
and The West End Studio Theater to accommodate more films,
workshops, and panels.
Last year NHFX partnered with PC Connection
to host the first ever Internet Café and Hospitality Suite. PC
Connection provided laptop stations along with refreshments for attending
filmmakers to check email, hang out and network, or seal that deal on
the next Hollywood picture. IOS Business Centers provided
the internet and its lobby as the location as well as our annual headquarters.
It was a huge hit and deals were definitely made! While at NHFX, Ron Wyman,
a seacoast resident, was hired to shoot the “Behind the Scenes”
documentary on “The Sensation of Sight,” the million dollar
indie film that stars Academy nominee, David Strathairn. So we look forward
to creating that new partnership with you to enhance our event even further
this coming year!
To celebrate our fifth year we brought in an array of
pros for our Saturday night birthday bash. Mahalos provided
the catering team from delicious passed hor d’houevres to the full
service bar. Coldstream provided the absolutely fabulous
Trade Wings building. Warehouse West dressed up the swanky
space with exotic antique furniture décor and The Red Door
provided a DJ tag team.
Our community partners make it possible for us to provide
this opportunity to NH filmmakers and encourage professional development
to the talented crew we currently have in the state. NHFX brings the latest
in independent film and offers the seacoast community the only opportunity
to see these films otherwise. Last year nearly 2 million dollars were
spent on independent filmmaking across this state alone. So join the current
businesses who already recognize the value that filmmaking adds to the
vibrant arts and cultural community and support the 6th Annual NHFX slated
for October 13th-15th 2006.
